Shadow of the Moon is the debut studio album by the folk rock band Blackmore's Night, released June 2, 1997. Formed from partners Richie Blackmore and Candice Night, the album went on to be a commercial success and featured Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull on flute for the song 'Play Minstrel Play'
