Everybody Screams is the the 6th studio album by Florence + The Machine and set to be released on Halloween. The new album will be the band’s first since the 2022 album ‘Dance Fever’. During the tour for that album Welch needed lifesaving surgery and her recovery influenced the new album. Talking about this period “it took her down the path of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror as she felt the limits of her body and explored what it means to be ‘healed.’ The album treads through womanhood, partnership, aging and dying; exposing the murky in the mundane.”
Florence Welch wrote and produced Everybody Scream over the past two years. She worked on the follow-up to Dance Fever with Idles’ Mark Bowen, the National‘s Aaron Dessner, and Mitski.
